Run your own branded AI studio — powered by MuAPI's 250+ models — under your own name, your own domain, and your own pricing. You control checkout and billing for your end users; MuAPI never touches their payments.

  • A sandbox mode for testing the full signup-to-generation flow without spending real credits.
  • Basic end-user management: view users, adjust credit balances, ban/unban.

Getting Started

  1. Go to the White Label dashboard and choose a slug and app name. Your app is instantly available at muapi.ai/studio/your-slug.
  2. Subscribe to a platform plan (below) to activate the instance.
  3. Configure branding, studios, and pricing.
  4. Connect your own Stripe account so you can charge your end users.
  5. Optionally add a custom domain.
  6. Turn on sandbox mode to test the flow, then turn it off to go live.

A monthly platform fee covers running your white-label app, billed separately from your own MuAPI API usage wallet:

Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades are scheduled for your next billing date so you keep your current plan's limits until then.

Branding

Set your app name, primary color, logo, and favicon from the dashboard. These apply across the hosted app and any custom domain you connect.

Choosing Studios

Toggle which studios are visible to your end users. This lets you ship a focused product (e.g. an image-only tool) instead of exposing MuAPI's entire catalog.

Pricing & Credits

  • Credits on signup — how many free credits each new end user receives.
  • Credit markup — a multiplier over MuAPI's own cost per generation. For example, a markup of 2.0 charges your end users 2x what MuAPI charges you, so you keep the difference as margin.

Your Own Stripe Account

Checkout sessions for your end users are created directly in your own Stripe account — MuAPI never receives customer funds and does not use Stripe Connect. To enable checkout:

  1. Add your Stripe secret key and webhook signing secret in the dashboard (encrypted at rest).
  2. In your Stripe dashboard, add a webhook endpoint pointing to /api/whitelabel/payments/webhook.
  3. Once configured, your end users can top up credits through your own branded checkout.

You can remove your stored credentials at any time, which immediately stops end-user checkout.

Custom Domain

By default your app is available at muapi.ai/studio/your-slug. To use your own domain (e.g. app.yourbrand.com) instead:

  1. Enter your domain under Domain in the dashboard and save.
  2. You'll be shown a DNS TXT record to add for verification:
    • Name: _muapi-verify.<your-domain>
    • Value: a unique token shown in the dashboard
  3. Add a CNAME record for your domain pointing at muapi.ai.
  4. Verification happens automatically in the background (usually within a few minutes of the DNS records propagating), or click Recheck now in the dashboard to trigger an immediate check.
  5. Once verified, MuAPI automatically provisions an SSL certificate for your domain — no manual certificate setup required.

Your domain's status is shown in the dashboard as Pending verification or Verified.

Sandbox Mode

While sandbox mode is on, every end user gets an instant sample result for any generation instead of a real one — no one's credits are charged (not your end user's, and not your own MuAPI wallet). Use this to test the full signup-to-generation flow risk-free before going live, then turn it off.

Managing End Users

From the dashboard you can:

  • View all end users and their current credit balance.
  • Manually adjust a user's credit balance (with a reason, for your own records).
  • Ban or unban a user, immediately blocking or restoring their access.

FAQ

Does MuAPI ever see my end users' payment details? No. Checkout runs through your own Stripe account, using your own keys. MuAPI is not in the payment path.

Can I change my custom domain later? Yes — changing or removing it resets verification status, and a newly set domain goes through the TXT verification flow again.

What happens if I don't configure Stripe? Your app still works, but end users won't be able to purchase additional credits until your Stripe credentials are connected.

Can I run multiple white-label instances? Each account currently supports one white-label instance.
