JanitorAI with Muapi

If your JanitorAI account exposes a custom proxy connection, you can point it at Muapi's OpenAI-compatible chat-completions endpoint.

Configure a custom proxy

  1. Create an API key in the Muapi dashboard.
  2. In JanitorAI, open a character chat and go to API Settings → Proxy.
  3. Choose the custom model/proxy option.
  4. Set the endpoint to https://api.muapi.ai/v1/chat/completions.
  5. Enter your Muapi API key.
  6. Set the model to an exact text model ID from https://api.muapi.ai/v1/models?type=text.
  7. Use the app's key/model check, then save and test with a short chat.

Compatibility notes

  • JanitorAI's proxy choices can vary by account and current product UI. This guide applies only when a custom OpenAI-compatible proxy URL is available.
  • Use a text model ID, not an image model ID. Start with a model marked capabilities.tools: true if the app expects tool calls.
  • Character chat can send long histories. Check the model's context limits and your credit usage.
  • This is an OpenAI-compatible chat connection; image generation is a separate Muapi endpoint.
