Make.com with Muapi

Use the Muapi app in Make.com to add media generation to a scenario or start a scenario when a generation completes. The connection uses a Muapi API key.

Connect Muapi

  1. Create an API key in your Muapi dashboard. Keep it private; anyone with the key can use your account.
  2. In Make.com, add a Muapi module and create a connection with that API key.
  3. Use the module's connection test. If it fails, verify the key and that your Muapi account has available credits.

Generate media in a scenario

Add the Muapi Run a generation action, select a model, and fill in its input fields. The model list and fields are populated from Muapi's enabled model catalog, so available models and parameters can change. Use the model's Playground page or Models to check the current schema and price.

Generation actions run asynchronously. Save the returned request ID if later scenario steps need to retrieve the result. The Make integration exposes a result lookup by request ID; whether it appears as a ready-made module depends on the current Make app configuration. Allow time for the task to finish before requesting its final outputs.

Start a scenario when generation completes

Use Muapi's Completed Generation trigger. The instant trigger registers a Make webhook URL with Muapi and sends generation details when a subscribed task completes. If instant delivery is unavailable in your scenario, use the polling trigger to check for recent completed generations.

The trigger includes the request ID, model, status, outputs, creation time, and execution time. Use the output URLs in subsequent Make modules. A task can complete with a failure status, so branch on status before passing outputs to another service.

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication fails: create a fresh Muapi API key and update the Make connection.
  • A model or field is missing: check that the model is enabled and that its current parameters are available in the Playground.
  • No completed task appears: confirm the generation finished under the same Muapi account as the Make connection. Check the trigger's polling interval if using polling.
  • No output URL is available: inspect the task status and result before continuing the scenario.
