SillyTavern with Muapi

SillyTavern can use Muapi text models through its Custom (OpenAI-compatible) chat-completions connection.

Configure the connection

  1. Create an API key in the Muapi dashboard.
  2. In SillyTavern, open API Connections and choose Chat Completion.
  3. Set the source to Custom (OpenAI-compatible).
  4. Set the endpoint to https://api.muapi.ai/v1.
  5. Enter your Muapi API key.
  6. Enter a text model ID from https://api.muapi.ai/v1/models?type=text and connect.
  7. Send a short test message.

Use the API root, without the /chat/completions suffix. Select an ID with capabilities.tools: true only if you plan to use SillyTavern features that depend on function calling.

Troubleshooting

  • If model discovery does not work, enter the model ID manually.
  • If the endpoint test fails, confirm you chose Chat Completion and the custom OpenAI-compatible source.
  • Image generation in SillyTavern is a separate integration. Configure it through Muapi's image API guide or use the ComfyUI integration.
