Application Guides
Use Muapi's image, video, and audio generation in the tools and applications you already use. These guides cover supported integrations, from visual workflow builders to AI coding assistants and agent frameworks.
Start here
- Create an API key and keep it private. Use a sandbox key while prototyping when possible.
- Pick the connection method your application supports:
- MCP for AI assistants that can call tools.
- OpenAI-compatible API for apps with OpenAI-compatible chat or image settings.
- An SDK or community node for framework-specific workflows.
- The REST API for custom applications.
- Submit a generation, then poll its request ID or configure a webhook for completion. See Quick Start and Webhooks.
AI assistants and coding tools
Give an assistant tools to generate and edit media as part of a conversation or development task.

Creative applications
| Application | Guide | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| ComfyUI | ComfyUI Integration | Add Muapi generation, editing, enhancement, and video nodes to visual graphs. |
| Adobe Creative Cloud | Adobe plugin | Install the Muapi UXP plugin for Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. |
| Apps that accept OpenAI image endpoints, including Open WebUI and AnythingLLM | OpenAI-Compatible Endpoint | Configure image generation with a familiar base URL and bearer token. Check the guide's supported endpoints and model list. |
| TypingMind | TypingMind with Muapi | Connect chat completions through a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. |
| Muapi's own multi-step media workflows | Workflows | Connect generation steps and pass outputs between them. |
| Social publishing applications | Social Publishing | Connect social accounts and publish generated media through the API. |
Frameworks and automation
| Tool or framework | Guide | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| LangChain and LangGraph | LangChain Integration | Add generation tools, asset retrieval, and credit tracking to agent runs. |
| Dify | Dify with Muapi | Install the Muapi plugin and add image generation as a workflow or agent tool. |
| LiteLLM | LiteLLM with Muapi | Call Muapi chat models directly or expose them through a LiteLLM proxy. |
| LlamaIndex | LlamaIndex with Muapi | Use Muapi chat models in LlamaIndex query and agent workflows. |
| OpenLIT | OpenLIT with Muapi | Trace OpenAI SDK calls to Muapi with OpenTelemetry instrumentation. |
| n8n | n8n Integration | Build no-code and low-code automations with the Muapi community node. |
| Make.com | Make with Muapi | Generate media in scenarios and trigger scenarios when generations complete. |
| Zapier | Zapier with Muapi | Run media generation actions and trigger Zaps when generations complete. |
| Custom application | API Quick Start · API Reference | Call generation endpoints directly from your backend. |
Chat and role-play clients
| Application | Guide | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| SillyTavern | SillyTavern with Muapi | Connect through SillyTavern's custom OpenAI-compatible chat endpoint. |
| JanitorAI | JanitorAI with Muapi | Use a custom proxy URL when the option is available in your account. |
| HammerAI | HammerAI with Muapi | Connect a model through HammerAI's custom proxy settings. |
| anime.gf | anime.gf with Muapi | Connect a model through an OpenAI-compatible proxy endpoint. |
Some directories also list clients that require a provider-specific integration. Featherless's native WyvernChat provider and its Venus AI model proxy routes are specific to Featherless; Muapi's generic OpenAI-compatible endpoint does not automatically make those connection methods compatible. Check the app's custom endpoint options before using Muapi.
Choose by goal
- Let an assistant create media while you work: start with MCP.
- Build a visual node graph: use ComfyUI.
- Automate a repeated media task: use n8n or Muapi Workflows.
- Add generation to an agent: use LangChain or the Agents API.
- Build your own product: start with Quick Start, then read Authentication, Models, and Webhooks.
Integration scope
Muapi supports both generative-media APIs and a defined set of text models. Integration type and model capabilities vary: the Dify plugin currently adds image generation as a tool, while tools such as Aider and SillyTavern connect to chat completions. Check each guide for endpoint and feature limits.
