TypingMind with Muapi

TypingMind can send chat requests to Muapi through its OpenAI-compatible API settings. Use this for text conversations; it does not connect TypingMind to Muapi's image, video, or audio generation endpoints.

Configure the connection

  1. Create a Muapi API key in the dashboard.
  2. In TypingMind, add a custom model and choose its OpenAI-compatible API option.
  3. Set the endpoint to https://api.muapi.ai/v1/chat/completions (or the API base URL shown in your Muapi account).
  4. Set the model ID to a Muapi text model that appears in GET /v1/models?type=text.
  5. Add the key as a bearer token. If the app asks for a custom header, use Authorization: Bearer YOUR_MUAPI_API_KEY.
  6. Set the context and response limits to values supported by the selected model, then save and send a short test prompt.

If TypingMind requests a base URL instead of a full endpoint, use https://api.muapi.ai/v1 and confirm the app appends /chat/completions.

Troubleshooting

  • 401 or 403: Check the key and make sure the authorization value includes the Bearer prefix.
  • Model not found: Copy the exact model ID from Muapi's text model list.
  • Tool calls fail: Use a model that supports tool calling; capability varies by model.
  • Generation features are missing: TypingMind's chat connection targets text chat. Use Muapi's API or MCP guides for media generation.
