NanoClaw with Muapi

NanoClaw supports third-party models through its OpenCode setup and documents direct Claude API-compatible endpoints for one-off experiments. Use the OpenCode path for an OpenAI-compatible Muapi connection; the direct endpoint option is experimental.

Option 1: Configure Muapi through OpenCode

NanoClaw's supported third-party model path is /add-opencode.

  1. Set up Muapi in OpenCode using the OpenCode with Muapi guide.
  2. In the NanoClaw project, run Claude Code and invoke /add-opencode.
  3. Follow the setup instructions to enable OpenCode for the agent group you want to use.
  4. Choose the Muapi provider and model configured in OpenCode, then test with a small task.

NanoClaw can use different model backends for different agent groups. Keep API keys in the local provider configuration, not in shared project files.

Option 2: Try the Claude-compatible endpoint

NanoClaw also documents direct Claude API-compatible endpoints for one-off experiments. Muapi exposes its Anthropic Messages-compatible endpoint under /anthropic.

First, list the model IDs available through that endpoint:

curl -s https://api.muapi.ai/anthropic/v1/models \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $MUAPI_API_KEY"

Add the endpoint settings to NanoClaw's local .env file:

ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=https://api.muapi.ai/anthropic
ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN=your-muapi-api-key
ANTHROPIC_MODEL=YOUR_MODEL_ID

Use a model ID returned by the model-list request. This direct endpoint path is for experimentation; if your NanoClaw version does not honor these environment variables in the agent container, use the /add-opencode setup instead.

Troubleshooting

  • If authentication fails, confirm the key is available to the NanoClaw process or container.
  • For the direct endpoint, use the base URL https://api.muapi.ai/anthropic; the client appends /v1/messages.
  • If the selected model is rejected, copy its exact ID from the endpoint's model list.
  • Start with a short task and check usage in the Muapi dashboard.

See the NanoClaw README for current third-party provider options and the Claude Code with Muapi guide for details about Muapi's Anthropic-compatible endpoint.
