Creative Canvas Guide

Creative Canvas is Muapi's conversational workspace for planning and creating media. It combines a chat with a canvas of uploaded and generated assets. Open Assistant to start a session or return to an existing one.

Start a session

  1. Open Assistant and describe the result you want. Mention the output type, subject, style, and any important constraints.
  2. Optionally choose a skill for a repeatable workflow, or attach reference files before starting.
  3. Start the session. The canvas opens with your conversation and its assets.

The agent may ask you to choose between options or provide missing details before it runs a generation. You can respond in the chat and continue refining the result in the same session.

Add and use assets

Upload source images, videos, or audio when the task needs them. Uploaded files appear on the canvas and can be referenced in later requests. You can also drag, select, move, and arrange visual assets on the canvas; layout changes are saved with the session.

To guide the agent, refer to an asset by selecting or mentioning it in your request. Be specific about what should change and what should stay the same. For example: “Keep the product and label unchanged, replace the background with a bright kitchen, and make the lighting softer.”

Edit an image on the canvas

Select an image to access visual editing actions. Depending on the selection and available controls, you can:

  • Quick Edit: describe a targeted change; draw or label the area to guide the edit.
  • Edit Text: detect text in an image, adjust the text content, and regenerate the image.
  • Edit Elements: split an image into editable elements and a background for further work.
  • Expand: extend the image canvas and ask the agent to fill the added area.

These tools make new generations and can use credits. Review the selected model and your account usage when planning repeated edits.

Keep working and retrieve results

Sessions retain their conversation and generated assets so you can return to a project. Arrange outputs on the canvas, then download or open an asset from its canvas controls. Save important files to your own storage; generated result links expire after 30 days.

For supported models and current parameters, use the Playground and Models. Developers building their own client can use the Design Agent API. For embedding the canvas in another site, see Embed Muapi Tools.
