OpenAI announced ChatGPT Images 2.5 on September 8, 2026, alongside two new API models: GPT-Image-2.5 Flare (the default, fastest tier — up to 50% lower latency than Images 2.0 at the same quality and editing gains) and GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst (a slower, higher-precision tier for premium creative and editing workflows). Muapi will publish a tested API surface — exact model IDs, accepted inputs, output formats, and pricing — rather than placeholder endpoints.
