Overview

PhotoAI ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Vadoo Internet Services Private Limited. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our mobile app and services. By using PhotoAI you agree to the practices described here.

Information You Provide

When you use PhotoAI, you may provide:

• Account information — email address and password (or sign-in via Google / Apple) used to create and manage your account.
• Photos you upload — images you choose to submit for AI processing. These may contain faces or other personal content.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Apple in-app purchase (IAP). We never receive or store your payment card details.

How We Handle Face Data

Some PhotoAI features — including Portrait Stylist, Face Enhancement, Face Swap, and AI Style effects — process photos that may contain human faces. We take the handling of this data seriously.

Face data is only processed when you explicitly choose to use a face-related feature. We do not passively scan or collect face data from your photo library.

• What we collect: When you apply a face-related effect, your photo is uploaded to our API server (api.muapi.ai) over an encrypted HTTPS connection for processing. We do not extract, store, or analyse facial geometry, biometric identifiers, or any face template derived from your image.
• How it is used: Uploaded photos are used solely to perform the AI transformation you requested (e.g., change hair colour, apply makeup, enhance skin, swap a face, convert to anime style). They are not used for facial recognition, identification, advertising, or any other purpose.
• Third-party processing: To generate AI effects, your image is forwarded to third-party AI model providers (such as Replicate and fal.ai) strictly for inference. These providers process the image only to produce the output and are contractually prohibited from retaining or repurposing it.
• Storage: Original uploaded images are deleted from our servers immediately after the processing job completes. The generated output image is stored on our CDN (cdn.muapi.ai) so you can view and download your result within the app.
• Retention: Output images are retained as part of your in-app history until you delete them or close your account. You can delete individual results at any time from the History screen. We do not retain biometric data at any point.
• No sharing for other purposes: Face data is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for purposes other than delivering the AI effect you requested.
• Deletion requests: To request deletion of any processed face data, email support@vadoo.tv with subject "Face Data Deletion Request".

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To process AI effects on photos you submit
• To maintain your credit balance and transaction history
• To send transactional emails (e.g., account verification)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs (via anonymised usage analytics)
• To comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• AI model providers (Replicate, fal.ai, and similar) — receive your uploaded photo solely to perform the requested AI inference. They do not retain it.
• Cloud infrastructure — AWS / Cloudfront CDN stores output images on your behalf.
• Authentication providers — Google and Apple receive your sign-in credentials according to their own privacy policies when you choose those sign-in methods.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data Retention

• Original uploaded photos: deleted immediately after AI processing completes.
• Generated output images: retained until you delete them or close your account.
• Account data (email, credit balance): retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Anonymised usage logs: retained for up to 12 months for analytics and debugging.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. We implement industry-standard access controls and regularly review our security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; in the event of a data breach we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

PhotoAI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (receive a copy of your data)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
