Muapi's AI photo effects API takes one photo and returns it transformed by a named effect — a 3D figurine or action figure, a comic or pixel-art character, a 1950s or 1980s decade look, a famous landmark or painting scene, or a professional-photo cleanup. Choose a preset by name, send one REST request, poll for the result. 48 presets across three endpoints, from $0.03 per image.
18 viral photo effects — figurines, plush dolls, comics, pixel characters and miniature worlds — applied to your photo.
An AI photo effects API applies a predefined creative effect to an input image and returns the result. You pick the effect by name — "Angel Figurine", "1980s Decade", "Taj Mahal Landmark" — and the platform supplies the tuned prompt and settings behind it, so output is consistent and easy to automate.
Muapi offers three effects endpoints with a shared authentication scheme and submit-and-poll flow: AI Image Effects (18 viral looks such as figurines, comics and pixel characters), Nano Banana Effects (17 looks including decade styles, landmarks and famous-art scenes, with aspect-ratio control) and Flux Kontext Effects (13 edit-style effects such as age progression, hair change and background change). A single-style Ghibli endpoint is also available.
Photo effects are fixed, named looks: choose "3D Figurine" and get that style on any photo, every time. Prompt-based image editing is open-ended — you describe the change in words and results vary with the instruction. Use the effects API for repeatable templates, filter-style features and viral formats; use an image-editing model when you need a bespoke edit. Compare with the AI Image Editing API →
Figurines, plush and felt styles, comics, pixel art, decade looks, landmarks, famous-art scenes and photo cleanups, selected by one name parameter.
Send a single image URL and effect name. No prompt writing is required for the image-effects and Nano Banana endpoints.
Flux Kontext Effects covers age progression, hair change, expression change, object removal, background change, weather and time of day.
Nano Banana Effects lets you set the output aspect ratio — 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16, 16:9, 3:2, 2:3, 5:4, 4:5, 21:9 or Auto.
From $0.03 per image, so you can offer effects in consumer apps and batch jobs.
Every effect uses the same request, polling and webhook flow as the rest of Muapi, with pay-as-you-go pricing.
Every preset below can be passed as the name parameter on its endpoint. Names are case-sensitive — copy them exactly as shown.
Photo effects generate a likeness-based image of whoever appears in the photo. Only submit photos of people who have agreed to be used this way, and do not use effects to create misleading content about a real person. Muapi does not verify consent on your behalf; that responsibility sits with the API caller.

Yes — "photo effects", "image effects" and "AI photo filter" describe the same task of applying a predefined look to an existing image.
Not for AI Image Effects or Nano Banana Effects. Flux Kontext Effects takes a prompt alongside the effect name.
Sandbox API keys return mock results instantly without spending credits, so you can build your integration before generating real images.
