Question 1

What makes VIP different from the standard text-to-video model?

Accepted Answer

VIP endpoints use priority routing which reduces queue wait times, making them ideal for time-sensitive workflows. Output quality and model capabilities are identical to the standard pro tier.

Question 2

What resolutions does SD 2 VIP Text-to-Video support?

Accepted Answer

Set the `resolution` parameter to `720p` (default), `1080p`, or `4k`. Price scales with resolution: $0.30/sec at 720p, $0.675/sec at 1080p, and $1.35/sec at 4K.

Question 3

Can I use character references in VIP text-to-video?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use @character: from a completed SD 2 Character generation to anchor the video to a character identity. The request automatically switches to image-to-video mode with the character sheet as the reference. You can also use @omni-character: for trained omni characters.

Question 4

How does cost scale with duration and resolution?

Accepted Answer

Cost is charged per second of video at the selected resolution. At 720p, a 5-second video costs $1.50 and a 10-second video costs $3.00. At 1080p those costs are $3.375/$6.75, and at 4K they're $6.75/$13.50. The VIP Fast tier costs proportionally less at every resolution.

Question 5

Do the dedicated -1080p and -4k endpoints still work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. seedance-2-vip-text-to-video-1080p and seedance-2-vip-text-to-video-4k remain fully live for existing integrations, but the base seedance-2-vip-text-to-video endpoint now covers every resolution via the `resolution` parameter and is the recommended way to call this model going forward.
